Loads of toasty new oak dominates the aromas, fruit is kind of a bit player here, though it’s pretty good, medium-long finish, I LOVE the 12.4% ABV, still pretty fresh and lively, but 200% new oak dominates it all (too bad)!!

Apr 22nd, 2021Even at age 36, definite dill and toasty American oak aromas and flavors, this has aged nicely (still too much oak for my palate, but really super bottle if you’re not an oakaphobe like me), long, sweet fruit finish!!

1984 Vintage. Fruit is fading and acidity taking over. Bright cherry fruit. Almost "Pinot-like" at this stage. Drink up!
