Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

My boy Fran’s birthday was last night...

Obviously starting its downhill slide. A bit flabby and very soft but still lots of fruit character. Actually very enjoyable.

Juniper berry, fig aroma. Sage attack, plum mid palate, cracked pepper finish. Youthful yet with intriguing depth to come with a few more years.

One of my favorite NV AVAs. This is drinking very well. Much better than my last sampling in August. In fact, I would give it several more years this time around.

Alexander is one of my favorite AVAs. This is drinking at its prime.

Nice dill on the nose. Fun against the 00 Bordeaux.

A big Californian red.

Liquid velvet. Zero tanins. Perfection.

Cork was somewhat compromised, but otherwise a great vintage. Berry and woody.

What a great wine!
