First time having Silver Ghost.

This had nice texture, thickness, was round & lush. Blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, plum, touch of very dark cherries/raspberries & shades of blue fruit round out the fruits. Expresso roast, sweet tarriness, black licorice, mid intensity back spices, tobacco, soft leather, mild volcanics & limestone, barrel shavings, dry crushed rocks, stones, rich dark earth with an array of fresh & slightly withering; dark, red, purple & blue florals. Nice round acidity. The finish is rich, lush, elegant, round, respectfully balanced and good but, uneventful finish/experience. Falls into the serviceable Napa Cabernets category.

Really nice Cab. Started off very fruity, then melted into this lovely spice and well intergraded oak.

Black cherry, raspberry, cassis, blackberry, vanilla, oak and hints of eucalyptus. Full-bodied and soft tannins.

Fantastic as always. Really well done and great value for the money. Drinks like a $75 Cab.

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, spices, metals, black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, oak, licorice, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Not what I expected from a Napa Cabernet, but it is drinking very nicely now.

Good right out of the bottle and does not change much later. Not one for long term aging, but easy drinking even by itself.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$35.

Solid. Really bold and fruit forward with a dramatic soft finish. Perfect with Thai yellow curry.

Have had 2 bottles of the 2014, really great Big Red for a great value, classic Cab with very rich fruit notes, have poured it for 2 different groups (one group was blind tasting) everybody loved it.

Awesome big cab and a great value. It keeps pace with wines that are twice the price.

Great balance right from the start. One of our favorite go-to Cabernets.
