Sadly, this has gone almost 85% VA (volatile acidity), it might make a good vinegar base, but that’s it. I take 100% of the blame for holding this too long!!!

Jun 3rd, 2026Not surprisingly, the most evolved of tonight’s trio of Siduri “Hirsch” (1997, 2000 & 2001), some underlying Brett (horsey) aromatics, but this also shows some lovely tart red-fruits aromas and flavors, solid Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, time to drink, especially if I’m correct about the Brett in this wine.
