Gave this a shot based on the 97pt rating from James Halliday. Whoa is that off the mark. Unbalanced with high acidity, which makes it tastes like tart cherry and cranberry. At $60 it's a definite pass, you can way better than this wine.

At first this had very little aroma or fruit. It was hot with hints of chocolate and vanilla. With some air and time the heat mellowed and a delicious blackberry fruit came on. Herbs, stone, chocolate, vanilla, and smoke, with just the right amount of acidity and tannins.
