Estate Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir

Stoic. Dark blackberries, tea, earth. Tannins in check. But very tight for a Pinot. I had this open for 3 days and never got it to loosen up. Hopefully it will get there with age.

Dark and grainy with potent mouthfeel. Plush and unrestrained.

Tasting group 3/24/19. Tart cherry. Green note. Peppermint. Mouthfilling texture. Short finish. My 5th, group 4th.

Bought at winery. Moderately extracted purple, great clarity. Mushroom, barnyard and raspberry notes in nose. Cherry fruit leather, mixed berry (blue, black, rasp) and spice, good acidity. Needs time to open. Skin astringency on back of tongue. Can age this one a little longer if you want to smooth the tannins, but drinkable now

Bought at winery. Light to moderate extraction, purple red. Mixed berry fruit leather, menthol-mint, barrel smoke and mushroom notes in nose. Blackberry, cherry, mint, cola and anise flavors, slightly tart, moderate seed bitterness, skin astringency on tip of tongue on finish. Great complexity and varietal character, even from first pour out of the bottle with no decanting

Good the first day, REALLY good the third day!

One of my favorites. Why wait? This bottle is outstanding. Drink now or give it more time.
