Stoic. Dark blackberries, tea, earth. Tannins in check. But very tight for a Pinot. I had this open for 3 days and never got it to loosen up. Hopefully it will get there with age.

Mar 27th, 2019Bought at winery. Moderately extracted purple, great clarity. Mushroom, barnyard and raspberry notes in nose. Cherry fruit leather, mixed berry (blue, black, rasp) and spice, good acidity. Needs time to open. Skin astringency on back of tongue. Can age this one a little longer if you want to smooth the tannins, but drinkable now

Blackberry, cherry, mint, cola and anise flavors, slightly tart, moderate seed bitterness, skin astringency on tip of tongue on finish. Great complexity and varietal character, even from first pour out of the bottle with no decanting
