Bright and sharply focused on the nose, the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc opens with citrus zest, green apple, succulent herbs and a hint of green tea. On the palate it offers lime pith, pear skin, fennel and an exotic touch of lemongrass, closing long and nervy, with citrus fruit and bitter quince. $25.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, January 2022)

Clean Aussie SB. Light on grass and sweet tropical fruits, nice amount of grapefruit. Long finish.

Tasting at Shaw and Smith yesterday. They have been making this cuvée for 29 years and one of the earliest adopters of the style. Today it represents 50% of the sales and is the goose that laid the golden egg. Shows passion fruit and pink grapefruit on nose and palate. I’m not normally a fan of SB but it is hard not to love this. Lifted, refreshing and a winner.

What’s not to like. No wonder this is the leading premium Sauvignon Blanc in the country. Everything it’s right place. Pretty commercial but still pretty blood good too. 👍🏼👍🏼

Shaw (sic) to be a hit. Sotto Voce intro before a lively, zippy citrus laden palate.

Lovely balance of acidity and fruit. Very much cool climate acidity with no loss of fruit. It's blessedly low in the citrus peel Hite that can be over the top in Marlborough. It's both savory and juicy
