I loved their 16 Petit Syrah, so I was very curious about their cab. Not anywhere close, but still a nice everyday value. Very quaffable.

Sep 21st, 2018Pretty decent inexpensive steak wine without a lot of nose, just hints of cassis and blackberry. Good solid black fruit on the palate with firm tannins. Some chocolate notes but overall not a lot of complexity. Very drinkable with meat.

The food was delicious. The wine selection was painfully limited. Yet of the four red wines in all the world that made it onto this list, one was from Shannon Ridge Vineyards, a wonderful coincidence given we were dining with the spectacularly attractive couple, Michael and Lexie Shannon. Unlike the conversation, the wine was a little hollow, though serendipity was the theme of the night so it not have paired better with our evening.
