Dark red purple in the glass. Nose of currant and black cranberry. Full-bodied (but kinda soft) fruit forward palate with medium acidity and medium minus tannins which grow a wee bit more assertive with some air. A solid performer in this range — especially if on sale — but I’d spend the extra seven bucks for the Oakville when they’re regular price. An excellent pair with Filet Mignon and other light cuts.

Previously tried ‘14, the ‘15 is not much better. Dark ruby color with aromas of ripe jammy dark fruit. The palate shows ripe blackberries and black cherries with hints of heavy spice. The tannins are somewhat harsh, dry and gritty. The wine is full bodied with a short spicy finish. Disappointing, overpriced. Will not get better.

Tasty. Lots of those dark fruit flavors of which I am so fond. Vanilla, black cherry, blackberry, then some spicy raspberry on the finish. A nice little cab to pair with early morning Bucs football from London. Plus, it's a hell of a lot cheaper drinking this on my couch than last weekend at Food & Wine at Epcot.

Sort of got excited when I opened this. Aromas of blackberries and light smoked chocolate were pleasing. First sip from pop showed it needed decanting a while. Aromas mellowed after decanting. After retrying the wine Sort of noticed the tannins were mild. Some washed fruits and bell pepper with a slight hint of chocolate were the highlights. Finish was rather short. Overall, yes I drank it and it was okay. Would I search for it again. Probably not.

Consumed 8/2018. Taken from the bottle. The number seven has long been believed to bring happiness and good fortune to life. Seven is also the number of years it takes for a newly planted vine it to begin producing high-quality grapes that become premium wines. I can send this probably a month ago and don’t really remember what my tasting notes were about it. I just remember that I did like it.

Smooth finish and generally smooth all around. Yummy and good Cab Sav that isn’t overly heavy, too sweet, or too acidic. Really well balanced medium bodied and easy to drink on its on - even in summer!
