Many years on and it gets even more stunning! Last of a 6-pack of one of their best vintages, popped the cork because i felt tense about years of bad apartment storage but it’s still got plenty in the tank. On my book, only a handful of super Tuscans can compare with this. Perfectly ripe black fruit on the nose, like a Margaux-style cab but with a subtle herbal-Mediterranean profile to it. Cassis, pencil shavings, rosemary-thyme-basil, hints of turned earth but super clean with zero rusticity, oak is fully integrated, barely there. Palate leads with great freshness, silky tannins, lingering acidity and finish

Nearing perfection. Just outstanding and so so elegant, it’s still got years to go. Menthol, cigar, balsamic notes a just a hint of fruit at the end. I wish i had more to hold

Amazing. Surprisingly approachable for the vintage. Honey. Dry. Delicious.

Wow this is crazy. 2004 is full brick 14 years in. Nose has tea leaves, eucalyptus, graphite, barnyard, very long finish. On the palate it’s medium body with a sense of lightness and perfectly smooth tannins. Finish goes on 10+ seconds. I’ll remember this a long time

Unique wine. Flavors dark: plum, pomegranate. Balanced with oak perceptible. Very appealing and food friendly. Why drink yet another California cab? I'd buy again and glad to have more. Good for the geeks among us.
