Outrageous nose of peach, apricot, flowers galore and so perfumed. Elite hand lotion. Yes! Citrus, green tomato and honey. Certifiable freak show. Just glorious. Unreal palate. Such cut and precision and killer acids. Inner mouth florals are stunning and the balance is off the charts. Amazing purity and clarity. I love how the sugars just adds textures and roundness. Brilliant and rocking now but will age 30+.

I almost don't want to post about this wine as its so good and so affordable ($25) for a wine made from ungrafted 100 year-old vines from heart of this vineyard, the Rotlay composed of blue slate chucks in a shallow decomposed slate soil on a slate bedrock. #itsaslatething in the #mosel
Now the wine? Outrageously good with sweet citrus and nerve, lazer beam acids with and sense of pure rock minerality, filigree and linear on the palate. A touch of sweetness as this is medium dry, the acids balance is so perfect they both taper together into a long finish. This should easily go 20 years, likely even more...if you can wait that long!

Bday day or as my soulmate calls it…bday month. After a nice morning walk, Four Season spa treatment, and now her fav restaurant I had to cap the afternoon with a delicious new Riesling. Definitely a 9+ bottle that has just the right crispness and sweetness…kinda like my sweetheart. Definitely need to get for the house.
