Deep almost black color, opulent dark fruit (plum, blackberry, black raspberry) w sweet licorice. Full, rich body with gripping tannins. Suggestions of truffle and savory herbs. Perfect w meatballs!

WTSO tasting 2/4. Couldn’t quite get into it, maybe too oak-y?

Deep color, nice depth and complexity with a medium nutty/tannin finish.

2005 Seghesio Aglianico. Creamy, buttery smooth. No harsh edges. Dark fruit. Yummy.

Found this in our wine cellar. Notes from the winery said drink now or up to three years. 2005-2008. Now 2015 and it is delicious. Inky, purplish, ripe, dark berry fruit, medium body. Good job, Seghesio!

Delicious wine with velvety tannins. Wish I had another bottle to open in a few years.

Our first Valentina's day as a married couple. We had Napa's Hidden Gems tasting with cheese/crackers for Happy Hour. Then tomato basil mozzarella salad, rosemary pork with red wine reduction over smashed cauliflower.
