unbelievable. tasted through 8 vintages and in barrel. This wine is otherworldly. Earth and dark fruit. Fantastic mineral core and the tannins are absolutely perfect.

Sébastien only produces this wine in vintages he believes are optimal. This undergoes an extended élevage, as is typical for this Domaine. 2014 is one of my favorite recent vintages for Cabernet Franc in the Loire (when it is from quality producers!) and this wine further confirms my preference for this vintage. Kirsch, damp soil, black truffle, dried roses, barnyard, a touch of pyrazine character on the nose. Intensely tannic structure upon opening that softened over several hours. Fruit on the nose is echoed in the palate. This has the perfect amount of rusticity for my tastes. This is an incredible wine.
