Quince, browned apple, spice, honey, and oats. Medium full body with crisp acidity and very dry. All that aside, it's chenin and bubbles, what's not to love?

A pretty good body. Pretty oaty and rich flavor but it leaves a lot to wish for. The tiny bit of acidity was a bit undefined to me.

Some solid sparkling Vouvray here. Plenty of rich Chenin-y varietal character here. Pours a medium (-) to medium gold-yellow hue. Medium (+) concentration of aromatics of slightly bruised yellow apple and Anjou pear, alfalfa honey, crushed chalk, a bit of chamomile, lanolin, and a very subtle yeasty leesy character. On the palate, there's again ripe yellow apples and Anjou pear, as well as a bit of slightly underripe pineapple, more pronounced crushed chalk minerality, alfalfa honey, beeswax, underscored again by a bit of yeasty leesiness. Medium (+) to high acid, medium (-) body but with a nice slightly oily lees influence and an incredibly fine bead of bubbles. Just a touch of balancing RS apparent but still pretty much dry. Good stuff. Definitely a fan of this.
