When your wine-loving friends have a baby, "I'll grab a bottle" has new meaning. '93 Seavey was our first wine for the evening and was killer. KILLER. Incredible purity of fruit on the palate. Resolved tannins and slight acidity. From the color of the wine, you wouldn't know this was 24 years old - still vibrant reds and not a hint of brown or fading on the rim. This was still smooth and brimming with dark fruits. So good.

This was dark, inky with graphite, licorice spice that leaned towards an old world Bordeaux but the sweetness on the palate brought me back to the new world from Cali.

Classic Napa cab. Black fruit and dried herbs on the nose. Leather, spice, cooked black fruit. 21 years old and still@has a freshness about it

But for the leafy green nose I would have rated this much higher. Great blue smooth fruit.

Astonishingly delicious. I love Seavey wines, and this is way up there! Musty, tobacco, chocolate, peppered beef, dark cherries -- there is a lot going on. So glad I still have two bottles left in my cellar.
