82% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Noir.
35% barrel-fermented.
Aged on the lees for 7 years.

Very good but too pricey at $120.

Yeasty, oxidative style. Toasted bread and apple. 82% chardonnay really shines but the pinot brings complexity. A great American sparkler.

Great start to the night! Dark gold color and rich in flavor. Subtle brioche.

Birthday celebration for @Cody Uzzel at Lucio’s with a bunch of friends. All wines (except sparklers) tasted blind.
.
First time trying J. Schram but certainly won’t be the last. This is some serious sparkling wine in keeping with many of Krug GC’s characteristics that I love so much. Rich and full in body with nougat, caramel, nutty milk chocolate, and caramelized brown sugar. Perfect way to kick off a killer dinner.

Yeasty and toasted brioche. Plenty of green apple and moderate acidity. Balanced beautifully. Not surprisingly, it paired beautifully with leftover popcorn from the night before. A great wine to kick of anniversary week with the wife!

Smells almost moldy, but is unique and unsuspectingly delicious. One consumer thought it tasted like a yummy blend of cigars and oranges.
