Full and crisp wine with prominent raspberry flavor and black peppercorn on the tongue.

ブルーベリーやプルーンに加え土臭い香りがします。甘い感じが口一杯に広がり実に柔らかい感触で始まり、しっかりしたタンニンが後からじわじわやってきます。フルーティーでもあり、辛口でもあり、とても複雑な感じです。色んな味が楽しめ余韻も長めでとてもおいしいワインです。

2015 vintage - holding up beautifully

Nice full fruited zin with balance

Ultra fresh Zin with a bit of funk on the nose but vibrant and a real pleasure to drink. Concentrated flavors but not overly ripe. Paired well with spicy mapo-tofu and dumpling!

Pickles. Green veg. Black pepper. Underripe cherry. High acid here, and decent tannins. Didn’t drink as hot as I would expect for 14%. This could sit for quite a while, but I just had to open one tonight. Tight at first, decanted for two hours, would have taken more gratefully.

Classic Zinfandel flavors, but mellow and without the tannins. Drinks like a well aged Zinfandel

Took a minute to open up but then good to go.

Nimble, funky jaminess - the opposite of what you’d expect of a Cali Zin with almost 14% abv, in the best possible way. Very much in harmony and for my money, Scholium at its accessible best.
