Wowsa! That's a big chunk of wine. Hammer and chisel time. Give it a decade at least.

Beneath the rich dense fruit, are the dark licorice notes.

Black olive, green beans, rust. Just a giant wine, and could sit for another few years comfortably. Decanted for a good stretch, and it was still going strong on the second night (maybe even better than night one?).

Always a great expression of Hudson Vineyard Syrah. Sadly, the last vintage. Scholium release tasting with @Abe Schoener in LA.

Fabulously fun puzzling wine! The nose is amazing but it doesn't reflect 100% on the pallet. The nose is beautiful- silky hints of dark fruits and licorice. The taste starts soft but finishes bubble-gummy- fun to drink right now but will be amazing if it sits for a few!

Nose was very vinegary after opening, but the poured glasses were quite interesting. As a friend says: "it reminds me of climbing Kilimanjaro." Very tropical tastes like green papaya, raw banana, with surprising tannins and acid. Absolutely worth a try!

Best nose ever! In the rich bramble, prune, blood vein. Palate lovely with good acidity.

One of the most bizarre and fascinating wines I've ever tasted. I thought I knew bloody, meaty mineral Syrah from my love of Washington Syrah like Cayuse and Reynvaan but Wow. I guess it should be no surprise for the Slayer of Men
