On opening this spatlëse it's a great example of reislings signature benzene notes, but they volotilized away quickly. Off dry, not a lot of uniqueness, character or depth but very drinkable.
For $38 a bottle I'll keep looking

Ripe, juicy apples with a lemon tang, backed with a steely mineral streak. Not too complex yet giving good drinking pleasure.
