Nahe Spätlese Riesling
Star bright clear straw gold. Light nose of yellow apples and flowers. Echoed on the medium light-bodied palate. Medium plus acidity balances the slight residual sugar. Not the most complex wine on the shelf (no surprise given the price), but with Thanksgiving dinner it’s better that the wine stay out of the way and accompany. This does that well.

Nov 24th, 2017Really enjoyed this Riesling! Had the typical petroleum aroma along with floral and citrus notes. Sweet flavors especially a nice grapefruit tone. Short crisp finish. Enjoyed it with shrimp.

Jun 21st, 2024Not all that to my taste, much sweeter than wines I usually go for. But, thought I would give it a try for a change of pace.
Apples and pears, honey, melon.
Much better in your mouth after a cracker topped with blue cheese.

Sweet apricots on the nose with wet vanilla and peach on the palate... not too sweet for the style/region but could use a bit more complexity. I probably would not buy again.

Oct 9th, 2017This would be a great dessert wine as it is sweet but not too sweet; not great with food though!
