I do love me a Schild Estate wine from the Barossa Valley. So when I spotted this 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon for about $20 - I just had to get 1 (or maybe 2 🙊).
It’s a deep scarlet red on the eye with peppermint, cherry cigars and berries on the nose. In the mouth it’s absolutely luscious and smooth making it the perfect pre, during and after dinner red!

Great value! Leather on the nose. Lots of red fruit — but not jammy —- on the tongue.

Full of dark fruit, delicious creaminess, long finish.. at its peak I think. I am glad I opened it yesterday. This is the Shiraz

Apr 1st, 2018I love Barossa Cabernet. But maybe this has been left too long. It has the blackberry intensity of good Cabernet but has lost its structure and complexity with age. It now appears as a simple wine that tastes like Cabernet but does not thrill. Pity.
