Opening a bottle of wine is like reading a letter or watching a photo, but in four dimensions. It's like a time travel. Here we have 1998 in Piedmont captured in a bottle. And it's so beautiful. The flowers and cherries on the nose, the lovely acid and tannins that follows. For a moment, we are there: In Alba, 1998.

Mar 2nd, 2017Probably the best Barbera I've ever had. Bright fruit, acres of depth and tremendous finish.

Nov 7th, 20161996 vintage. Earthy and meaty nose but the fruit and acid really show up on the palette. A really interesting wine that completely surprised me. Its drinking beautifully, but I'd drink it sooner than later!
