Great bottle! Full of beautiful dark fruit and surprisingly silky smooth. What a treat.

2005 Vintage. 16.4% Alcohol. 93% Grenache, 7% Syrah. Wow, this wine was stunning. Cork broke in two using the lever screwpull but saved it with a hand corkscrew for the remaining half inch. Even under the intact wax cap. Found it hidden in double deep racking on the white/rose side of my cellar. Big fruit and velvety mouthfeel. Not obviously hot, but packed a punch!

Pop & pour ready, once you get the powdered cork out, that scared me😱, but since it was a mag it made it. Almost ruined dominos Sunday!!

Wow. One of Justin's earlier efforts, this 2005 Rocket Block is fantastic! Much better than when we last had it about 5 years ago, this is a beautifully integrated wine with great fruit intensity and balance. Easily had several years left, but drinking well right now!

From a magnum. This was outstanding and I think the crowd was surprised how well it was drinking, not at all tired, great fresh fruit with smooth tannins.

Nice to have friends that share. Inky dark and full of dark fruit and spices. Velvety texture and rounded. I'm a big fan.

Needed the Durand to get the brittle cork out. Wine was correct and this is giving maximum Cali fruit forward pleasure. Not for the AFWE and good for me that I can straddle both sides of the debate; although each year that goes by I lean toward less is more. Have a great Thanksgiving holiday to all and I will be thankful for all that life has afforded me.
