Saxum Vineyards
Bone Rock James Berry Vineyard Syrah
Love these guys @Joe Lucca @Shawn R @David L as part of the Wine nerd herd and we get together ever so often
About to post more wines that are from the event
We met last week at Iowa and had a blast
This is not a picture of the wine but we enjoyed the Saxum in a mag with a great dinner at 801 chop house
To the next tine gents - drink well and miss you already

Enjoyed right after the Broken Stones from the same year, this was substantially better (and that’s coming from someone whose favorite varietal is grenache!). Wonderfully balanced with a lot of fruit but still sporting a backbone, this is far and away the best wine I’ve had over the past year from the 2008 vintage in Paso. Still has a few years of development ahead of it, but my advice is to enjoy this one now.
