Savart’s most limited production Champagne made from 100% old vine Pinot Noir with a mere ~400 bottles produced. Visually, I continue to double take at this wine as it barely appears Rosé. It’s intensely perfumed, floral and deeply aromatic, with a precise, taut and linear palate that screams purity and and elegance. A very singular, vinous and most importantly delicious Rosé Champagne that there will never be enough of! ☺️

My first time trying the very limited production L’Expression Rosé from Savart. It has great power, vibrant energy and a chalky minerality. There are hints of oxidative notes which added to complexity. It is seriously light in color for a Rosé which was very interesting.

2011 hasn't tasted better yet. Pale hue, hints of pink and dark fruits with that trademark '11 savory tone coming through as almost Bachelet-esque stemmy quality. In other words, a good way!

Perfumed nose of brown apples was ahead of the palate which was tensed with minerality and acid at opening. Given time, the aromas mellowed and the palate caught up charmingly. This bottle can do with some ageing and will recommend letting it sit awhile before drinking.
