Extremely solid wine, could have sat in bottle many more years. No one guessed it was Chilean and by far the best Cabernet from Chile I have ever had. Big blue and red fruits, cigar wrapper, graphite, yum yum 😋

Apparently one of Chile’s best Cabernets, sourced from 50-year-old vineyards located in Santa Rita’s Alto Jahuel estate, in the Maipo Alto Valley. Rich, round, quite powerful (though lighter than the Napa Cabernet tasted next to it). Aromas of dark fruit (black currant), black olives. Some pepper and leather/meaty notes. Quite elegant, but totally overpriced

Stage 2 lockdown and use house party chat. Nose quite good with some typical chilean spice, violet and green herbs and tobacco. Still have some tannin which indicate it can be kept for maybe couple of year. Mineral, crushed rocks

Superb Chilean @ £26-35 that punches above its price & full on stains every crevice from start to finish 💥 Great now but still improving 😈 I’ve had these wines aged & they are 👌
