In 1962, Pierre Lafond re-established Santa Barbara County's winemaking & founded Santa Barbara Winery. as part of an association that now has 40 wineries. Bruce McGuire was working as a winemaker in 1981 when Pierre invited him to take over the winemaking at SBW. Nice black fruit aromas with some floral spice. On the palate juicy black fruits, spice and tea flavors. Medium finish ending with fruit. Good value.

Spicy with dark blackberries and pepper. Slightly astringent upon opening , but it loosened up after 10 min or so. Drinking nicely.

Air dried beef little floral some residual sugar

A little to sharp when opened. Mellows out to a decent, but not spectacular, Syrah with a few hours or a full day to breathe

Great with spicy food. Affordable (at Costco). Smooth and rich flavors.

Plum, medium-light bodied, easy drinking. Ruffled, slick tannins.

This is a Costco special find. Bold fruit forward taste. Can’t wait to pair it with some pork streak.
