On a wine tasting trip to Santa Barbara, we stopped off at Santa Barbara Winery. One of the oldest, established in 1962, in Santa Barbara. The Primitivo is essentially a Zinfandel, and this one doesn't disappoint. Higher than normal alcohol and great berry fruit flavors. ~$32 | #santabarbarawinery #primitivo #funkzonewine

On the eyes:
Bright garnet
Good stain, long tears
No gas/floc

On the nose:
Med+ Acid
Med+ Alcohol
Stewed Raspberry, Blackberry
Slight Barn and Earth

On the tongue:
Med Acid
High Alcohol
Med Tannin
Earthy Berry flavor
Some Mineralty on the way down
Med+ Body
Good Complexity
