Well, just punch me in the face. This wine is painful to drink without food, even with ample air time. Unapologetically hedonistic. Better on day two. Walloping and almost Scotch like on the palate with brandied cherries, spice cake and dried (bordering on sweet) fruits. Is it Amarone or a Manhattan?
Obviously complex and well made, I just don’t know what I’d pair this with and it’s quite intense on its own.
