Jul 30th, 2023Just tasted at Sanford. I tasted one new 2019 and it was vibrant and deep and delicious. Far better than any of the current release wines from 2016/17. I pulled out a 2014 I bought a while back to compare. Better acidity than the 2016/17s but not a patch on the new vintage. I look forward to the release of 2019s and to tasting what Trey Fletcher is doing with this vineyard. Other winemakers have eclipsed Sanford in recent years.
