One of my favorite Sandlands Chenin blancs so far; rich and delicious without overpowering; bright lemon and grape juice with a great mineral backbone.

Bright lemon yellow. Lush nose with stone fruits, white floral notes, lemon caramel, and oak notes from the malolactic fermentation. Solid acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Ripe and lush palate with citrus notes, creamy mouthfeel and a bit of spice. Long finish. Drink till 2023. (92+)

Pale yellow in color. Toasted oak, citrus and yeast note in nose. Lemon and stone fruit notes in mouth, orange pith aftertaste with some lees creaminess. Dry, balanced acidity, rounded mouthfeel. Well made complex Chenin blanc

One of the best domestic Chenins I've tasted. Acidic support to some mid palate richness. If anything, I'd prefer a little more richness with the same acidity. Beggars, choosers. Lovely bottle.
