This wine is very dark in the glass. It features a beautiful nose of brambly cassis, mocha and chocolate notes. Minerals come into play as do sage and thyme. The palate is loaded with dark fruit, more minerals and sweet oak flavors. Tannins are alive and well, so a bit of time opening up in the glass is recommended.

2011 vintage.... Pretty damn good wine for the price point.. Not too dry or sweet.. Smooth tannins with a nice tobacco and dark fruit nose... Paired well with spaghetti

So it’s a Paso Robles Cab kinda Friday. This is actually really good. Balanced and refined with that explosive California Cab fruit; takes thirty mins to open up but pretty much pop n pour! And not dissing but better qpr than Chuck Hope.

Pours inky dark with a big bold spicy plum bouquet. Initial taste of mild mild spicy plums with a middle of cocoa and bright berries and vanilla and a hint of coffee. The layers change as you drink it. Then finishes quickly with small structured tannins
