Sipping this in Berkeley right across from legendary wine merchant Kermit Lynch. This vintage is even better than previous ones. Opens up quickly, lush and velvety, layers of cassis. Oh, and go Bears!

Trying the 13 vintage in honor of installing my first serious wine storage. 166 bottle capacity. Nice. Also nice: this Paso cab. Smooth and plenty of fruit. Nicely integrates. WS concurs - 90pts.

This wine is very dark in the glass. It features a beautiful nose of brambly cassis, mocha and chocolate notes. Minerals come into play as do sage and thyme. The palate is loaded with dark fruit, more minerals and sweet oak flavors. Tannins are alive and well, so a bit of time opening up in the glass is recommended.

2011 vintage.... Pretty damn good wine for the price point.. Not too dry or sweet.. Smooth tannins with a nice tobacco and dark fruit nose... Paired well with spaghetti

Slightly tannin at end. Blueberry taste? Pairs very well with any garlic dish or dark chocolate

Dark and smooth. Great blackberry and currant with soft tannins. Really great for the challenging year!
