Dec 28th, 2022Dried fruits and herbs. Quite easy drinking with a nice integrated structure and finish at first. On the label they say uncork 3 hours before serving and they’re not kidding. An hour after opening it was too simple a wine. A few hours later it’s starting to sing more. Seems also more structured?

Nov 19th, 2021Gaso is the family vineyard high on the hills of Marano di Valpolicella. Very attractive nose of resin, butterscotch, prune, ripe plum, and cherry. Unusually bright and vibrant palate. Authoritative yet silky tannins. I think I paid $35 for this small production Amarone. A steal.

Jan 1st, 2017Tart chewy cherry with rich blueberry and a slight spice and hint of chocolate on the palate. Dry with an almondy long finish. I'd love this with a duck dish.
