Drinking well now, shedding its cool vintage nervousness. An elegant vintage for this wine, with good balance and less showy fruit profile.

Terrific sangiovese from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Terrific berry aromas with great structure (somewhat surprising, actually, given that it's got almost 5 years on it). The wine pairings at this restaurant were among the best I've ever had: this wine was paired with a veal entrecote with morels in a red wine reduction and was spot on. Great evening!
