This is way better than your average Chianti Classico. It turns out I made a mistake selecting this from the cellar, meaning to get the 2020 Chianti Classico standard not this 2019 Baroncole Riserva. Much too early in its drinking window. Notes of cherry and pepper. A very fresh mid weight palate. Sometimes nice to try such an excellent wine so early in its drinking window. Earthy fine powdery tannins. Not your average CC as I said earlier. The next time I have one will be 4 to 5 years away.

Ruby, slight rim variation. Earthy, bruised red fruit, a little green on the nose. Well balanced, medium tannins. Drinking the 2013 in 2018. Purchased at Casa del Vino in Firenze. πŸ‘Œ

The Percarlo was so good we stayed with the San Guisto theme. This is a totally different wine but great nonetheless. This wine is much more structured with strong cherry flavors with smoke and licorice. Both of these wines are deep and complex wines. If you don’t own San giusto, they are a great buy. They also make a great merlot - la ricolma -

Still very youthful with a beautiful core of red cherry fruit, spice, lively acidity

Exquisite CC. Aromas of red cherry, blueberry, cedar, balsamic, incense, and leather. Deep and layered. High acidity upon entry, then ripe candied fruits emerge. Lively full body. Soft yet assertive tannins.
Will need another 4-5 years to reach its full potential.
