Drank the 97 twice this past year, thought having a baby would be fun to compare. Bottom line is this wine needs an abundant amount of time. Despite the tannins being crunchy, other elements are in place. Give it another 15 years.

This is a wonderful Sangiovese. I was trolling around the Borolo and Brunello list when Bobby Stuckey suggested this wine. Intense liquified black cherry, earth, and wood. On the palate a big wine with black cherry, kirsch, cedar and spice. A very nice Super Tuscan that's quite different when compared to Tignanello, Ornelaia, or Sassicaia. 93pts. Needs a little more tone to integrate. Try in 5 years.
