La Caccia Toscana Red Blend

Wonderful SuperTuscan. 50% Sangio, 40% Cab and some Merlot. Great structure. BlackBerry, some herbs. Really elegant and smooth, and intense. Winner of tasting.

A hit of new oak on pop and pour, developed well in the glass over the course of a few hours. Beautiful wine.

Black pepper, blackberries & forest floor. Drank in 2025. The tannins were still high enough that it would benefit with some decanting. Candied bacon enhanced the black pepper in the palate.
