Riserva Cellole Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Starting with a 6-pack in 2007, we finally arrive at the last bottle today. We've certainly enjoyed the evolution of this wine, it's been wonderful each time. Still currant and raspberry notes but faded, now with a little leather. We'll miss you 2003 Cellole, you were such and under the radar pick, with a outstanding score from WS back in the day.

Beautiful minerality! One of the best wines I've had in recent memory!

Dark fruited elegance, made of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot & Colorino. The wine is quite dark with a burst of black fruit on the nose, with black cherry-berry-currant. Very smooth tannines and a long finish. Excellent wine!

Good wine. Didn't knock me off my socks. Still learning to love Chianti but one of the better ones I've had.

Good body. Rich. Good to sip in late evening.
