Huge wine. Big and bold with Deep purple color. Very tannic and acidic. Improving with time. The downside for me is a slight corkiness which may dissipate. Could have been a much bigger score — 9 years ago

Also had the 2001. Agree on the "slight corkiness". It is dissipating but I'm not sure if that is just because I'm getting accustomed to it.
