The 2022 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru has a fresh and vibrant bouquet. A hint of chai infuses the citrus fruit, becoming increasingly mineral-driven as it opens in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. A touch of white chocolate and peach skin gain depth towards the finish, but not letting go completely like Billaud's other Premier Crus. Now that’s Chardonnay!! Typical Chablis aromatics with this salinity, gun powder, sea shells aromas, fresh and so enjoyable. The palate is of the same breed, it is so nicely chiseled and balanced in this generous 2017 vintage. Some chalky and mineral character, fresh, decent length, superb Chablis first growth. 90-91
Nez Chablisien avec ce côté pierre à fusil et salin, agréable et frais tout en ayant des notes de Chardonnay. La bouche est magnifiquement ciselée avec un bel équilibre sur ce millésime généreux, un côté crayeux, salin et minéral, assez bonne longueur, superbe Chablis. 90-91
