Surprisingly spry for it's age giving a garnet core with a brick-brown edge. The nose still has a ton of ripe fruit; black cherries, plum, blackberries and cedar. The mouth is layered with black tea, black cherries, five spice powder and soy sauce. The round finish dies off fairly quickly but still has some tannin left.

I didn't perceive a fault with this bottle, but I can't help wondering if I shouldn't try another. This was really thin on the body and very light in structure, not at all what I'd expected. There was enticing wet slate, graphite, blackberries and cassis on the nose; this didn't materialize much on the palate. Acid felt a bit out of proportion for the lighter body. Tannins were very smooth.

Has continued to improve with age. Wouldn’t Cellar much longer. Still has red fruit, balance and nice tannins.

Another thanksgiving large format treat. Well aged with soft tannins and lots of red fruit. Took awhile to open up. Recommend decanting.
