Baiocchi Sagrantino di Montefalco Sagrantino

Chalky. Creamy. Raisins and smooth finish. Was so excited to taste it.

Mag. Didn't really give it much air time so not really a fair assessment, but seemed pretty tightly wound, though brooding. Probably could use more time. Powerful stuff.

Accessed from my coravin. Still young, but tannins are slowly getting to the right point. Complexity is just starting to show. Look forward to it again soon!

Quite spectacular, 15 years, alive and kicking, much power, earthy

Tannins are green on palate

Tightly wound but will age nicely over the next 25 year or so. Big mineral, lava, fine grain tannins, forest floor and lavender. Balanced acidity. Light fruit but the fruit you get is dark dark bizness.

Cedar and tar and black cherry. Decanted for 45 mins. #winebid

Super dry with mild tannins and good spice. Smoky on the nose. Forward and powerful, the tannins hit you, then slowly dissipate with dried fruit. Opened 1.5 hours.

Tannic but not too heavy -- more rustic/earthy than juicy. Very good on own and with food.

I had higher hopes for this, but perhaps it suffered from following even better wines of the night.
