Leaner, herbier, slightly funkier than the 2019. More focused & mineral, too. Incredible salinity. Pure, fruitless, with some reductive toasted sesame notes. Pure. Fresh.
On the palate this has the same incredible balled energy. Beautiful acidity, herby, citrusy, bright & zippy. Great depth, purity. Round mouthfeel, with a tiny hint of tannin. Herby, spicy, savoury.
Different vs the 2019, less fruity, yet still so beautiful. An amazing wine!

Back on home turf and kicking it off with the really good stuff.
Shy yellow pear and quince with some hot wet stones and a flowery whiff. Maybe a touch of honey melon. There’s a hint of caramelized nuts.
On the palate this is astounding - starts round & mellow only for the mineral frame to start squeezing it into a beautiful shape. Juicy, zippy appley acidity, nice presence & flow on the mid palate, herby-spicy-savoury in the long finish. This has depth, precision & soul. A beautiful wine!
Blind I’d take this for a really good Burgundy.
50y+ vines on limestone, slowly pressed over 24h and aged 22 months in used wood on the lees. Unfiltered & unfined.
