More so than other vintages this feels like a baby. Closed up and tannic for hours. 3 hours in finally begins to show some ripe fruit. Cool menthol and green pepper on the nose. Blackberry jam and dusty tannin. Nice structure and seamless journey from flavor to flavor.

The winery and estate vineyards are certified 100% Organic. Aromas and flavors of ripe currant, black cherry, rich dark chocolate and fresh spearmint. Full-bodied with soft tannins, a velvety mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish. Flavors of dark berry and plum with pepper and vanilla show good depth on a juicy savory frame, firm tannins and a medium finish. Nice value.

Inky and leggy. Deep dark currents, blackberries, hint of oak. There’s a sensation of bursting - the sensation of rich ripe fruit. The dust of tannin doesn’t overwhelm nor does the floral create a feminine flounce of near silliness. Celebratory without solemnity. Saxophone. Snare drum. A single alto female- singing I’ll Fly Away - Etta James- not a bluegrass version-this is heavier stuff. Why yes- another glass.... cheese? Dark chocolate? Yes!
