Oaky, high in alcohol and a little heavy on the palette. Missing the pretty bouquets and delicate flavors that I love so much about great Chardonnay. But, the people in my table really enjoyed the spicy and buttery finish.

Perfect cold on a 100 degree Las Vegas day! Good structure, soft overall. Not a ton of acidity but great fruit and lighter bodied for sb county.

Ruscak’s 2013 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County is a gorgeous entry-level offering. Butter, spice, candied lemon and tangerine flesh out in an attractive, mid-weight Chardonnay to drink young, while the flavors remain crisp and refreshing. (AG)
