This Gran Selezione is only produced in outstanding vintages, aged for 36 months. Dark Ruby with aromas of red fruits and earthy spice on the nose. On the palate ripe cherries, plum and dark fruit come with cinnamon spice, tobacco and cacao. Well developed tight tannins, good balance, sweet oak, long finish ending with a jolt of earthy spice. A tremendous value. Outstanding, but decant first!

Medium garnet color, Medium tannins, plum and perhaps stewed prunes. Nose is really delightful. Not a rounded wine - hits too few notes. Nice when cooking short ribs on a wet, rainy Friday in November.

I think we snobs have a tendency to overlook this. A stellar round balanced Chianti. Pop n pour, awesome.
