Nice balanced Barbera. Has a soft, lighter body compared to other Cali versions. True to type and lovely to drink.

Very tart on first sip, but I can tell our had a lot of depth. This wine has the potential to be excellent. I'll re-rate in a couple of hours after it breathes. Thanks to a previous reviewer for the heads-up.

90 minutes later this wine has opened up very nicely. As expected, it starts with intense dark fruit flavor and smoothly evolves to a citrus middle and finished on a spicy note.

Let it breathe for three hrs. Dark opaque purple. Ripe dark fruit, hot chocolate (due to all of the alcohol blowing off of it), cinnamon stick. Mildly tannic and on the bigger side. A bit chewy. Butterscotch, cherry blowpop, with hints of vanilla bean, and dome floral components I can't identify. Long, finish that lingers. Good. Not great. 88
