Part of tasting. A beauty on a 90 degree day. Baking spices, time on Lees added a nice creamy texture. A bit of time in oak provides some vanilla tones.

I know that most of my pictures blow... This one is no exception.
But the wine is excellent. Brisk nose of cut flowers, grapefruit and a hint of butterscotch.
On the palette, the wines slips down. The first thing that taps you on the shoulder is the acid structure. Second thing was some warmth on the mid-palette. I checked the label to find 14.5% alcohol, REALLY!
Nice tropical fruits and nuts bring up the rear. Overall, an excellent example.
Boys, if you want to sneak up on wifey/girlfriend, look no further than Round Pond SB. She'll be putty in your hands in no time - you heard it here first!

Crisp, light, and delicate. With scents and flavors of straw, and vanilla then after a while some light minerality started showing through.

Sep 18th, 2022Had a nice crispness you’d expect from SavBlanc and a more interesting barnyard flavor, paired with vanilla and a hint of straw. Enjoyable and a good wine to start the evening with.

Nov 22nd, 2019I don’t know how to explain, but this smelled smooth, bright and welcoming. The flavors were equivalent. It was a well rounded bright but reserved wine. It tasted like a crisp, cool end of summer day. Excellent.

@Ron R friggin loved this. Thank you! I’m aging my Cali SB from now on. My friend’s notes: the cat pee is really muted. The personality of the wine is there but more round than he’s used to. More rubber tire than tennis ball. Ripe pear. The maturity expresses the essence.
