Southern White Walla Walla Valley Viognier Blend
Sean Boyd really knows how to capture the acidity in this blend. More melon, Honeysuckle, and lemon notes than last year, but still an underlying mineral note. Persistent, lip-smacking finish.

Jul 23rd, 2020More mineral nose than past blends. Zesty lemon and pear with a delicate floral note. Although 75% Viognier, this didn’t show overwhelming varietal characteristics. Delicious stone fruit, delicate pear, and wet rock flavors. To me, this is Sean’s best Southern White Blend to date.

May 24th, 2020Consistent with last notes, but perhaps slightly more harmonious.

Aug 11th, 2019Two years in a row I’ve really enjoyed this blend. The nose shows fresh daisies, stone fruits, citrus oil, and pears. This vintage is juicy! Stone fruit and lychee ride along enough acidity to add a mouth watering finish to each sip.

Jun 5th, 2019This is my favorite vintage of Sean Boyd’s Southern White Rhône blend. I find this to be a luscious stunner that balances its Rhônely parts well.

Jul 1st, 2018White Flowers, citrus oil, and a dash of nutmeg on the nose. Lychee, white peach and hibiscus flavors. Not complex, but so very well made by Sean Boyd.

Aug 22nd, 2017This reminds me of the 2013. I'm sure it is the similar Viognier, Rousanne, and Marsanne blend. Loads of chalk on the nose with a sprinkle of apricot and nuts. The palate blends Honey with apricots and white flowers. Balanced, fresh, and killer fruit!

Aug 10th, 2017Had to count on my fingers for this one...2017 vintage, it’s May 2018...this has been in my cellar for a month...hmmm. 🤷♀️ Couple of educated palates thought the RS level was above 3%, I thought it was far less but the fruit profile tricks you into thinking it’s a sweet wine. Quite honestly, I don’t know, I don’t get it.
