Popped and poured. The 2020 Chardonnay “Ronco Basso” is quite compelling. I found that the fruit presented more round on the nose than it is on the palate, which showed a bright mix of tropical and citrus fruits with really lovely acid and fantastic minerality. The finish was long and full of energy. One of the more exciting Chardonnays I’ve had in a while. Drink now but will drink well for at least 10 years.

This pretty gem is right up my alley. Superbly built wine with a great combination of a rich and ripe fruit profile, with a vibrant freshness and defined stone like minerality that is keeping a tight grip throughout the finish. Wonderful work with the oak as as well.
